I've been partly lazy and busy and have not been able to update anything here. Trying to absorb everything and capturing pictures and enjoying the moment of Adam growing, learning and developing. He is babbling and singing songs right now - even of songs I sang to him when he was in 6/7 months. Its true that their brain is like a sponge and how it absorbs and sucks up everything little thing. Adam is reciting the ABCs, 123s, reading Dr. Seuss's ABC and now reading his new favorite: One fish, two fish, red fish, blue fish. What parents don't like watching their kids flipping through books! He is 95% potty trained - meaning no diapers during the day and only wear a pull up at night. He doesnt tell us all the time when he needs to go - although today he did. We just need him to learn to take care of everything from beginning to the end so he can enroll in preschool!
On to my pregnancy - we learned at around 20 weeks that we are having a girl! Scott and I are almost in disbelief and was too happy to accept that as a reality because that's what we really wanted. We checked with both the doctor and the technician twice to make sure that it is a girl. It's going to be different and feel so complete having a balance of gender in the household. The pregnancy this time is a little different but nothing major to really differentiate the two. Morning sickness came at a different time but not bad. Skin is not as sensitive and I feel like my weigh gain is more in control. Overall, it has been a pleasant journey. Having Adam around also makes this pregnancy go by a lot faster. We can't wait for another chapter in our lives. Adam brings so much happiness and laughter and wonder to our daily life. I can't imagine a day without him...
